What is the importance of search in e-Commerce?Apache Solr

               Every online store is going to have millions of products in the product catalog. For an end user,finding a particular product to buy from the store is difficult from the millions of products . If the end user is unable to find a product what he wants from the product catalog,simply he will close the application. Here, we are not making the visitor as buyer and ultimately we are loosing the revenue. To attract the customer and to provide an easy way to find the desired products, we need an agent where user gives keywords of a products as input and the agent gives approximately desired information to the end user. This “agent” is nothing but search engine.

As above discussed , the search is not only important in e-commerce,we can use wherever we require full-text search.

There are several search engines(Commercial and Non-Commercial) are available in the market . Some of them are given below.
